The Institut Origines brings together astrophysicists, chemists, physicists, biologists, geologists, geophysicists, philosophers and epistemologists. Its objectives are to train an interdisciplinary community in key scientific questions concerning the origin of life and its presence in the universe. By bringing together expertise in different - but complementary - fields, research conducted by the Institut Origines will lead to advances in matters concerning the origin of our solar system, evolution of matter within it, and how this evolution played a role in the emergence of life on Earth.
