From March 6 to 8, 2024, Marseille will host the scientific team of the CHEOPS space mission, a telescope designed to characterize exoplanets. Alongside this scientific meeting, we're organizing a round-table event for the general public on the theme:
"What life in the Universe?"
Hosted by Mathieu Vidard of France Inter, it will feature eminent scientists: Didier Queloz, co-discoverer of the first exoplanet around a star similar to the Sun, Chantal Abergel, biologist and virus specialist, Athena Cousténis, astrophysicist and solar system satellite specialist, and Perig Pitrou, philosopher and anthropologist.
This round table will take place on :
- March 7 at 6:30pm, at the Palais du Pharo
- Salle La Major, 2nd floor, 300 seats available
- It will be open to the general public free of charge.
