Workshop on the Network for Ultraviolet Astronomy (NUVA) - 2025

Purpose and scope

The Network for UltraViolet Astrophysics (NUVA), is a pan-European network set-up to identify the needs of the astronomical community in the UV domain and eventually propose actions to structure it around new projects. The 6th NUVA workshop will be held in Marseille, France, at the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille, and hosted by the Institut Origines.

Objectives for the 2025 Workshop: "Instrumentation and Scientific Frontiers in UV Astronomy"

  • Advance Scientific Research: Discuss UV astronomy advances in areas ranging from solar system objects to distant galaxies.
  • Innovate Instrumentation: Review current and future UV astronomy instrumentation, highlighting innovations, technological breakthroughs, and barriers.
  • Foster International Collaboration: Promote collaboration to develop new UV astronomy projects and initiatives.

Program

The NUVA2025 workshop will involve plenary sessions, round tables, and visit of the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille (LAM).
